Top 20 Mobile Apps by Advertising in June 2025

First, let’s take a look at the June rankings for global mobile app advertising:

The leading players in the market remain confident in micro-dramas and their derivative industries, with only minor shifts in the rankings of the top five micro-drama platforms. Although Temu has scaled back its advertising efforts compared to before, it still firmly holds the top position in Android advertising placements. Outside the rankings, many micro-drama platforms that previously had lower advertising intensity are now stepping up, such as Playlet and ZeroShort. As global micro-dramas gradually become more refined, more competitors are entering the stage to carve out their share of the market.

Let’s first take a look at Temu:

Temu continues to deliver good news. In Q2 2025, it achieved a major milestone, surpassing 1 billion cumulative downloads globally, with 416.5 million monthly active users (MAU). In June, Temu retained its position as the top advertiser on Android. According to Socialpeta, its detailed advertising performance in June is as follows:

  • In June, Temu ran approximately 810,000 deduplicated ad creatives on Android, with over 77.8% being newly launched creatives.
  • Ads were delivered in 77 countries/regions, with the United States accounting for the largest share (over 33.79%), followed by Canada, Australia, and Germany.
  • Among the new creatives, video formats made up about 68.25%, with vertical videos being particularly popular. Most trending creatives were placed on TikTok and YouTube.
  • Popular creative formats mainly include: Real-person recommendations (standard spokesperson monologues, green screen shopping tours, local KOLs). Product showcases (product assembly, product comparisons, close-ups), micro-dramas (focused on selling products).

The following creative from Temu is a newcomer benefits ad presented in the form of a micro-drama. The storyline is deliberately exaggerated.

Distribution platform: YouTube  Estimated Impressions: 2 M

This creative has already garnered over 1.85 million views on YouTube. However, as the promised benefits differ somewhat from reality, it may easily mislead users and should be used with caution.
